Toucan Velvet Cushion Cover with Lemon and Pomegranate Print
A playful toucan perches among lemons, pomegranates and blossom on this handmade velvet cushion cover, bringing a bright jungle accent to a sofa, bed or armchair. The ivory velvet is soft to the touch with a gentle sheen, and a dark green piped edge frames the 50 × 50 cm (20 × 20 in) square. It is a decorative cover for a square insert you already own, closing with a hidden zip, and a summery gift for anyone who loves birds.
Key Features
- Soft plush velvet — a dense, smooth pile with a gentle sheen that keeps the colours rich
- Toucan and fruit print — a toucan among lemons, pomegranates, a pear and teal-green leaves on ivory
- Dark green piped edge — contrast piping on all four sides gives a crisp, tailored outline
- Hidden zip — the insert slips in and out easily and the zip stays out of sight
- Standard 50 × 50 cm size — fits a 50 × 50 cm insert, or a 55 × 55 cm one for a fuller cushion
- Handmade cover — finished by hand, so the print placement varies a little from cover to cover

The cover measures 50 × 50 cm (20 × 20 in). For a full, plump cushion use a 55 × 55 cm (22 × 22 in) insert; a 50 × 50 cm insert also fits and gives a flatter, tailored look. The cover is not made for 45 × 45 cm (18 × 18 in) or 60 × 60 cm (24 × 24 in) cushions.
No. You receive one toucan velvet cushion cover, with no insert or filling, so you can refresh a cushion you already own. Slip a 50 × 50 cm (20 × 20 in) insert in through the hidden zip, or choose a 55 × 55 cm (22 × 22 in) insert for a fuller, plumper cushion.
Hand wash only, in cold water, and spot clean small marks between washes. Do not bleach and do not tumble dry: heat and tumbling crush the velvet pile and dull the print. Dry the cover flat away from direct heat, and do not iron the velvet directly.
Velvet has a soft, dense pile with a gentle sheen, so the toucan's colours and the red pomegranates look deeper and the cover feels plush to the touch. A cotton cover is flatter and more matte and usually takes machine washing. Choose velvet for a rich, soft statement, and give it gentle hand-wash care.
It works on a family sofa with a little care. The pile is soft and the zip is hidden, but velvet can hold pet hair, and sharp claws can pull the pile or the piping. Brush or lint-roll hair away, blot spills straight away and spot clean them, and hand wash the cover in cold water when needed.
Yes. The toucan sits among lemons, pomegranates and blossom on an ivory ground, so it reads as a colourful, summery print rather than a novelty one, and works in a living room, bedroom or garden room. It arrives as a cover, so the recipient can use a cushion insert they already have.
The print mixes ivory, green, red, yellow and the toucan's black, so it pairs with plain green, teal, mustard or blush cushions, cream or grey sofas, and rattan or natural wood. The dark green piping links it to deeper greens. Colours can look slightly different on screen.
Delivery is free to every country we ship to: 3–5 business days in the UK, 4–8 in Europe, 6–10 to the USA, and 8–12 to Canada and Australia. If the cover is not right for your room, you can return it within 30 days of delivery.
