IKEA Ektorp 2 Seater Sofa Cover in Bottle Green Plush Velvet — the Complete 5-Piece Set
Give a much-loved IKEA EKTORP 2 seat sofa a brand-new look without replacing the sofa. This made-to-measure IKEA sofa slipcover set arrives complete — one tailored sofa cover with a pleated skirt plus all four cushion covers — in a deep Bottle Green plush velvet, a rich jewel-like green, whose dense pile catches the light with a soft sheen. It is a simple IKEA hack for a tired Ektorp: a washable, pet-friendly settee cover that gives the sofa you already own a boutique-hotel finish.
Key Features
- Made to measure for the EKTORP 2 seat — a fitted sofa cover cut to the 179 cm IKEA frame, with tailored corner pleats and a pleated skirt
- The complete 5-piece set — one sofa cover, two seat cushion covers and two back cushion covers, so the whole sofa changes at once
- Plush Bottle Green velvet — velvet with a short, dense pile and a soft sheen that deepens the green as the light moves
- Cushions that stay put — grip-dot non-slip backing on all four cushion covers holds the seat and back cushions in place
- Zipped and machine washable — every piece unzips and washes at 40 °C on a gentle cycle
- Pet-friendly pile — the short, dense velvet has no loops for claws to catch, and pet hair brushes off easily
- Piped cushion edges — neat piping keeps each cushion's outline crisp

Yes, if you have the standard IKEA EKTORP 2 seat sofa: 179 cm (70½ in) wide, 88 cm deep and 88 cm high, with a 45 cm seat height and a 49 cm seat depth. The set is made to measure for that frame only, so measure your sofa from the outside of one arm to the outside of the other before ordering. It should read 179 cm.
No. The UPPLAND looks similar but is a different sofa: 182 cm wide against the EKTORP 2 seat's 179 cm, taller, and with a much deeper seat (58 cm against 49 cm), so it needs a different cover cut. This set also does not fit the EKTORP 3 seater, sofa-bed or chaise versions, which are different sizes.
No. It is an independent, custom-made replacement cover tailored to fit the IKEA EKTORP 2 seat sofa; it is not made or sold by IKEA. IKEA and EKTORP are trademarks of Inter IKEA Systems B.V., named here only to show which sofa the covers fit. The set is made in Estonia from plush velvet.
Both are the same tailored 5-piece set for the EKTORP 2 seat, so the choice comes down to look and feel. This velvet has a smooth, dense pile with a soft sheen for a richer, boutique-hotel finish. Our chenille-bouclé version has a looped, textured weave that hides everyday marks. Both machine wash at 40 °C and have grip-dot backing on the cushion covers.
You receive five covers: one tailored 2 seater sofa cover with a pleated skirt, two seat cushion covers and two back cushion covers, each cushion cover with non-slip backing. The sofa, foam pads, inner cushions and fillers are not included. The set is covers only and goes over your existing EKTORP frame and cushion inserts.
Unzip each piece and machine wash it at 40 °C on a gentle cycle. Do not bleach or use harsh chemicals, and do not tumble dry: air dry instead, which keeps the velvet pile and colour at their best. Do not dry clean. If needed, iron on low heat with a cotton cloth between the iron and the velvet, never directly on the pile.
Yes. The short, dense velvet pile has no loops for claws to catch, pet hair brushes off easily, and the pile stands up to busy households. Grip-dot backing keeps the seat and back cushions in place, and when muddy paws or spills win, every piece unzips and machine washes at 40 °C on a gentle cycle.
Each set is vacuum-packed to protect it in transit, and the compression can leave light creases or pressure marks in the velvet's deep pile. They are temporary: the pile recovers on its own within a few days of everyday use. To speed it up, use a garment steamer held just above the fabric, or iron on low heat with a cotton cloth over the velvet.
Yes, if the frame and cushion inserts are still sound. The set replaces every visible fabric surface, the sofa cover and all four cushion covers, so the sofa takes on a new bottle green velvet finish without replacing the sofa itself. As the covers are cut for the EKTORP 2 seat, check that your sofa measures 179 cm wide first.
Sets are dispatched from UK stock, and delivery is free to every country: 3–5 business days in the UK, 4–8 in Europe, 6–10 in the USA and 8–12 to Canada and Australia. If the set is not right for your sofa, you can return it within 30 days.
